Assalaamu alaikum[Peace be to you],

I already made one drawing accompanied with an article to explain how do Muslims see Jesus -peace be upon him- [link] .
I got both positive and negative feedbacks:
- positive from those who didn't know Jesus is important in Islam and is respected along with his blessed Mother, so they saw my article beneficial.
- and negative from those who don't like when a Muslim says "I love Jesus" or they don't like to hear what Islam says about Jesus -peace and blessing be upon him-.
I just like to remind you guys that in my humble drawing and article, I only intend to let you know something new. whether you agree with it or disagree is another matter which is not important here. everyone is free in their beliefs. I am merely sharing some knowledge. as they say, sharing is caring. :D

Like Christians, Muslims respect and revere Jesus -peace be upon him-. Islam teaches that Jesus -peace be upon him- is one of the greatest of God's prophets and messengers to mankind.

Though Jesus is mentioned by name in twenty-five places in the Holy Qur'an, he is also addressed with respect as: Ibn Maryam, meaning "The son of Mary"; and as the Maseeh (in Hebrew it is the Messiah), which is translated as "Christ". He is also known as Abdullah, "The servant of Allah"; and as Rasulullaah, "the messenger of Allah". He is spoken of as "The Word of God", as "The Spirit of God", as a "Sign of God", and numerous other epithets of honor spread over fifteen different chapters. The Holy Qur'an honors this mighty messenger of God, and the Muslims have not fallen short over the past fourteen hundred years in doing the same. There is not a single disparaging remark in the entire Qur'an.

The birth of Jesus Christ is described in two places of the Quran - chapter 3 and chapter 19. Reading from the beginning of his birth, we come across the story of Mary, and the esteemed position which she occupies in the House of Islam, before the actual annunciation of the birth of Jesus is given:
وَإِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَا مَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَاكِ وَطَهَّرَكِ وَاصْطَفَاكِ عَلَىٰ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ
Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! indeed Allah has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of all nations.
O Mary, be devoutly obedient to your Lord and prostrate and bow with those who bow [in prayer]

[translation of 3:42-43]
"Chosen you above the women of all nations." this is a very beautiful and greatest honor. don't you think?

The 19th chapter in the Holy Quran is named Surah Maryam, "Chapter Mary". named in honor of Mary the mother of Jesus Christ -peace and blessings be upon him-. Such an honor is not to be found given to Mary even in the Christian Bible. Out of the 66 books of the Protestants and 73 of the Roman Catholics, if I remember well, not one book is named after Mary or her son. You will find books named after Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, Paul... but not a single one is that of Mary! (Correct me if I am wrong)

in my opinion, If Mohammed, -peace be upon him-, was the author of the Holy Qur'an (like some people claim), then he would not have failed to include in it, with Mary the mother of Jesus, his own mother Aminah, his dear wife Khadijah, or his beloved daughter Fatimah. But No! no one of them is mentioned in the whole Qur'an (Mary is mentioned 34 times and she is the ONLY woman mentioned by name). that's because the Qur'an is not the handiwork of Mohammed -peace be upon him-. it's the word of God Almighty. even Mohammed is not allowed to change it.

Allah describes the birth of Jesus -peace be upon him- in the holy Qur'an (verses from chapter 19):

فَأَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهَا رُوحَنَا فَتَمَثَّلَ لَهَا بَشَرًا سَوِيًّا
"Then We [Allah] sent to her Our spirit, and he appeared before her in a form of a man in all respects."

This refers to angel Gabriel. So at the time this (miraculous) event took place, this pure and chaste woman had set out to devote herself to worshipping God, and she had placed a screen in front of her for this purpose in order to protect her honor and chastity and so that she can establish her worship. Then a human that was well-proportioned in his form and beauty suddenly appeared before her. So she demonstrated the signs of her chastity and modesty in this instance, saying:
قَالَتْ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِالرَّحْمَٰنِ مِنكَ إِن كُنتَ تَقِيًّا
"Verily, I seek refuge in the Most Gracious (Allah) from you, if you do fear Allah."

Then the noble messenger Gabriel gave her news that caused her fear to be removed and her heart to find tranquility:
قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَنَا رَسُولُ رَبِّكِ لِأَهَبَ لَكِ غُلَامًا زَكِيًّا
"I am only a messenger from your Lord, (to announce) to you the gift of a righteous son."
So she replied in amazement:
قَالَتْ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِي غُلَامٌ وَلَمْ يَمْسَسْنِي بَشَرٌ وَلَمْ أَكُ بَغِيًّا
"How can I have a son when no man has touched me, nor am I unchaste ?"
So the angel informed her:
قَالَ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٌ ۖ وَلِنَجْعَلَهُ آيَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَرَحْمَةً مِّنَّا ۚ وَكَانَ أَمْرًا مَّقْضِيًّا
"Even so; your Lord says: It is easy to Me: and that We may make him a sign to mankind and a mercy from Us, and it is a matter which has been decreed.'"

So this spirit blew (the life of Jesus) into her. So she conceived Jesus, and withdrew with the baby in her womb to a far away place. There she gave birth to her child and was faced with the problem that any chaste and honorable woman like her would feel, so she wished she was dead. but God gave her signs that increased her reliance, tranquility and faith in the fact that God would protect her, demonstrate that she was free from any claims of fornication, and manifest her honor and nobility. So all she needed to do was to point to this infant that the slanderes used as a means to accuse her of fornication. This child said from the cradle:
قَالَ إِنِّي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ آتَانِيَ الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلَنِي نَبِيًّا
"Verily, I am a servant of Allah. He has given me the scripture and made me a prophet.
And He has made me blessed wherever I may be. And He has enjoined on me prayer and giving of charity for as long as i live.
And (He has enjoined me) to be dutiful to my mother, and He has not made to be arrogant and wretched.
And peace be upon me the day I was born, the day I shall die, and the day I will be raised alive."

That is Jesus -peace be upon him-, the son of Mary...

I hope that was helpful

... and yep, in Islam, you ain't a Muslim if you don't love Jesus -peace and blessings be upon him-
