Assalaamu alaikum [peace be to you],

I am planning to make religious comparisons. at start, between the three Abrahamic beliefs: Islam, Christianity and Judaism.
for an honest and fair comparison, I need 2 or 3 people from these faiths to check, correct and approve what I write about their beliefs. so that no one will say I misrepresented their religion.

If you are a Christian or Jews and you have good knowledge about your religion, please comment here, and In sha'Allah, I will send you a note with what I need you to check.

thanks

Wassalaamu alaikum

I'm doing a similar thing, I'm writing a comic with characters with all three faiths.

There are many different Christian sects.
Catholics are the main sect BUT they DO not represent all of Christians, they have a lot of traditions and practices that are not practiced in many churches. (I think there are over 12 different Christian churches, that all practice and believe slightly differently)

Same thing with Judaism, you have Hasedic Orthodox Jews, who follow nearly all of laws and rules, and you have modern Orthodox who are not as conservative and their lifestyles are slightly different right down to what they wear.

It's the same with Islam I researched Shia, Sunni and Ahmedi sects, you can't pick one a say that one represents all of Islam. (You can debate which one is right and wrong, but my point is for someone who is not familiar with Islam, this can be confusing and misleading)

^_~ Just to give you a heads up because I've done this project and research before, and you either have to be specific about which sect you are talking about, or make sure you keep things that are vague and general. Example, Jesus is ALWAYS the prophet for all Christian churches. In Judaism, they believe in no prophet (although I have seen exceptions where some believe in Jesus but very very very rare). If you need help clarifying anything let me know :) I know quite a bit about the differences between all three AS well as the differences between different sects within each one.

Good luck. THANK YOU for promoting peace and understanding, we need more people like you.

Salam! Ya agree with you but just want to contribute about Islam that today all the sects have differences and in all that differences, they left behind representing what Our true Religion is! Want to share that from the day Our Religion completed and till today Only the Momins (Who got true faith and Believe on Every thing related to Religion) Represented the true Religion. After Propher MOHAMMAD P.B.U.H, His Companions, than All Imams, and than All the Walis (Friends of GOD, Saints) carried on the Duty to represent and Spread the True Religion and till today in Whole World, They all are on their Duties. None of them divided their selves to any kind of sects. Even By The GOD Almighty, These people are nor called Muslims, Sunnis Shias Ahmedis etc, GOD called them "O Believers" (Momins).
Hope You all will get My Point! If anyone get any confusion feel free to send Me a Note! :) It would be My Pleasure to answer! :) Take care All. ALLAH HAFIZ Bye!

Aaaaah. I just found this right after I sent you my note. You can ignore my note if you like. This project looks like it will answer my questions. In the meantime, I see you have several volunteers to help you with Christianity already, but if you would like a nondenominational one (or maybe just spelling/grammar check), I'll be quite happy to help. =)

I am a Roman Catholic. :) If you're interested in my collaboration, my main area of interest (what I've dug into the most) are miracles and Marian apparitions, especially those that have been recorded in the 20th C. I also know a bit about the Eucharist, the Miraculous Medal, a range of devotions (such as the Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy), and the most important Catholic sacrament - the Holy Communion. And I can easily contact a few very well-informed monks/priests if something escapes my knowledge. :3

May God bless all the efforts that you make to bring His people closer to him!
