Brainwash the masses

Journal Entry: Thu Jan 26, 2012, 3:01 PM

It really makes me sick to see how the western Media twists things in order to vilify Muslims at every opportunity. I received a note regarding a case of a supposedly 'Muslim' guy who raped girls at night. after checking the news article, I went to google the name of this 'Muslim' guy and see other news. from what I read, I'd like to share some thoughts with you guys and girls:

In www.dailymail.co.uk/news/artic… the title says:
'Strict Muslim' raped four women at knifepoint to 'punish them for being on the streets at night'
notice the 'Strict Muslim'. it MUST appear in the title to attract attention.
the article starts with:
A Muslim man who raped women to 'teach them a lesson' for being on the streets at night was jailed indefinitely today because of the danger he poses to women.

they are referring to him as 'A Muslim man'. this became a tradition in the western media. when the criminal happens to be a Muslim, he should be called 'A Muslim man'. his name is not as important as his religious background.
in www.thisislondon.co.uk/standar… the title was:
Muslim raped women for being out late
same sickness. they started the article by:
"Sunny Islam, 23, who comes from a strictly religious family..."

so they are telling us this guy's name is "Sunny Islam". I don't know how the word 'Islam' came into his name. probably so that if his religion is not mentioned, his name will say it all. and Sunny is NOT an Islamic name. I have never met a Muslim with such a name. usually Muslims use Arabic names of the prophets and companions of the prophet Mohammed -peace be upon him-. especially if they are devout and strict Muslims. you may find names such as Mohammed, Ahmad, Ali, Omar, Uthman, Yusuf, Musa, Yunus and many others. or names such as Abdullah, Abdurraheem, Abdussamad (abdu -which means 'servant of'- + one of Allah's names)... but no one uses English names such as Sunny.
and they made sure to claim he comes from a 'strictly religious family'. how did they know that? no idea. but of course, he must be. otherwise, they can't blame Islam for what this criminal did.
and check the double entendre here:
Police fear that Islam may have attacked many more.

it's ridiculous how they used his name and made it seem they are referring to the whole religion of Islam.
Islam, who told the jury he was a practising Muslim, was convicted of seven charges of rape, one of sexual assault and one of kidnap.

they must add this nonsense. by doing so, they are giving the reader the impression that the actions of this guy are based on Islamic teachings. sick sick sick!
He was traced through the number plate of his girlfriend's car after he kidnapped and raped the 15-year-old in September 2010.

so this 'strictly religious practicing Muslim' has a girlfriend. you know what? the Boyfriend/Girlfriend relationship is un-Islamic. there is not even a single Muslim scholar who would support it. in Islam, you love a girl, marry her. full stop.
His mother, in religious dress, sat with her covered head bowed throughout and wept as her son was jailed.

even small unnecessary details have to be brought here to bring a picture of how 'Islamic' is his family and him.
Judge Lees said: 'The fact that you have attacked these women not withstanding your background must represent your own wholly warped personality.'

TRUE. his sickness only represents him and him alone. but this statement has to be in the bottom of the article. I bet all readers are NOT gonna pay much attention to it in the end.

by reading the article, you find no mention of any victim names. I really wonder if the story is real. it's too suspicious. but let's suppose it's real.
so here, we have a story (if true) of a criminal who is called 'Islam' (if true) and is strictly religious and practicing Muslim. what do they want to tell you?
they are telling you this is the ideal Muslim behavior. barbaric rapist. according to the news, the guy wanted to teach 'them' a lesson. teach whom? the non-Muslim women living in a non-Muslim country?????
:bulletred: first, rape is a grave sin in Islam (against Muslim or non-Muslim women). it's unjustified and unacceptable no matter what is the condition.
:bulletred: second, non-Muslims are not required to respect and follow Islamic law in non-Muslim countries. Islamic law is for the Muslims alone. in Muslim countries, non Muslims have to follow the state law just like any Muslim citizen. but they don't have to follow Islamic religious laws.
:bulletred: third, Muslim individuals are not required to apply Islamic law in non-Muslim countries. simply because Islamic law needs a legal Muslim government which doesn't exist in non-Muslim land.
:bulletred: fourth, Muslim individuals are not required to go around and apply the law by themselves even in a Muslim country. there are legal authorities that do that.
so when you hear such twisting tales in the news, know that they are attempting to brainwash you. because there is NOTHING ISLAMIC about the guy and his actions (if true)

Now let me tell you another story:

there is one guy under the name of Jerry Sandusky with 40 counts of sex crimes against young boys (the filthy guy is a sodomite)
here are a few news titles from dailymail.co.uk:
Now ELEVENTH teen says disgraced former Penn State coach Sandusky 'raped him at summer charity camp'
calling him 'disgraced' seems enough for the media. but mentioning his religion is not necessary.
Jerry Sandusky 'sexually abused young boy he met through his charity more than 100 times and threatened family to keep quiet'
notice they call him by name.
Now Penn State 'paedophile Jerry Sandusky is accused of sexually abusing one of his own GRANDCHILDREN
even his own grandchildren didn't escape the monster. but still, religion is not mentioned.
Jerry Sandusky's daughter-in-law gets restraining order to keep Penn State 'paedophile' away from grandchildren
and many more articles. but I found no mention of his religion. I had to google his name '+religion' to find out this Sandusky to be a United Methodist www.christianpost.com/news/jer… but that's not important for the Media or the public, right?

Another guy under the name Joe Paterno was charged with covering up the child-sex abuse scandal related Sandusky so he was fired after 46 years of coaching his football team (well deserved).
some of the titles related to this issue are:
Legendary Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno under pressure to resign after two of his top officials charged with perjury over child-sex abuse scandal
and
Joe Paterno contacts high-powered defense attorney one day after firing as Penn State sex abuse scandal continues to burn
Again, I had to google his name '+religion' to find out he was a Catholic. but I guess that's also not important.

Imagine. just imagine that Sandusky and Paterno were Muslims. what would the headlines be? I don't wanna imagine, but I know it will be something really filthy.

What I want to say is this:
the Western media is very biased and dishonest when dealing with Muslims. when a sick criminal happens to be a Muslim, they give great importance to his religious background selecting words to imply his coming from a 'strict' and 'religious' family and being a 'practicing Muslim'. and his actions were based on his 'religious teachings'. but when the criminal is not a Muslim, nothing is mentioned.
same goes for honor killing, domestic violence and all kinds of crimes...

now think about it for a while. when the reader reads the words 'Islam' and 'Muslim' whenever he reads about these disgusting crimes, in his brain the word 'Muslim' will be equated to 'rapist', 'bomber', 'hijacker', 'terrorist'... and this is how Islamophobia is planted in people's minds. of course, those who are familiar with Islam and have a little knowledge about it will be able to make the difference. sadly many can't do it because all they hear is this lying Media.

Indeed there are Muslim criminals. but there are also Christian criminals. and Jewish criminals. and Buddhist criminals, Hindu criminals, pagan criminals, atheist criminals and [insert religion name] criminals... black sheep are found in every nation. there are no good Muslims and bad Muslims, good Christians and bad Christians, good Jews and bad Jews, good atheists and bad atheists... no. we don't divide people like this. we divide them like this: good human and bad human.

I hope this was beneficial for you

Wassalaamu alaikum

Do you know what sickens me? Religious discrimination of any kind.

Although I'm an Atheist, I believe every person should believe in what S/HE wants to believe. End of story.

The only occasions when Islam has resorted to Jihad is in retribution for Christian Crusades. Hindu and Buddhism have not had any major wars launched in their name for gain, and neither has Islam (vengeance is not "gain"). Christianity is the ultimate subliminal messaging technology of warmongers. The big problem is that the audience is stupid enough to eat it up.

I don't have a problem with Islam or any other religion really, I just have a problem with the state laws in Saudi Arabia: Women cannot drive cars, ride bikes, or drive anything except jet aircraft. What?

I also have a problem with how it's all an excuse for wars. Whatever Deity is out there (you can lump it into one identity like Allah or God, or split its thought processes into say the Hindu Gods) is probably as pissed as can be at the sorry state of affairs on Earth, assuming it even cares anymore.

In conclusion, Islam is, like Hinduism and Buddhism, a peaceful religion at heart. However, it would be nice if the laws of the countries were less oppressive toward women. I'm a guy, but on fanfiction.net (same user name as here) my current main series (SI Archives) will have the main protagonists eventually go toe-to-toe with Saudi laws. I mean, trying to arrest a head of state for talking with her subordinates (she's unmarried, so her father is supposed to be around for this by Saudi laws) in a Starbucks picking up lunch for the whole guard entourage is... yeah.

Of course, just because a few countries have extremist laws doesn't mean the prevalent religion there is bad. By that logic, Christianity is screwed because of the laws against Africans in the Age of Slavery. These slanderers should STFU...

Peace to you, my friend, allahu akbar (may have failed at spelling that.)

This example if unfortunately the norm for reporting in the U.S. when anyone of Islamic (or Sikh, or Hindu, or [insert religion that might seem 'Muslim' to ignorant wasterners] affiliation commits a crime, is involved in a crime, or in any way might be implicated in a crime.

Rewind to 60 years ago, and you would see similar headlines in relation to the anti-black racism of the time. If a white man killed a woman, the media would report "man kills woman." If a black man did it, they would say "negro kills woman" ...or, more likely, "NEGRO KILLING SPREE!!

...it's the same ridiculous ignorance and prejudice as always, just with a new target in mind. The only comfort I can offer is that eventually, truth and open-mindedness shall win out, just as it did with the previous scenario (well, we're actually still working on that, but... you get the idea).

You are not the 'law' on DA. Giving links to truthful news stories (some of them from Muslim countries, so are these 'untruthful'?) is not spam nor "Anti Islamic propaganda". I would be careful what you claim friend, there are 'libel' laws you know. Going by your 'law' that makes YOUR comment to ME, SPAM! So, I guess I will just have to report it.

People who 'fear' hide the truth, people who lie, hide the truth, people who tell the truth put it out there up front where it shines blindingly! Liars, HIDE IT! Interesting 'dummy spit' Better get a new 'pacifier'.

Of course you will hide this comment also.

You are not the 'law' on DA
but in my page, I MAKE THE LAW. if you don't respect it, then I am afraid your presence is not welcomed. the law is made to maintain a kind of order and keep the information here as credible as possible. allowing everyone to link to websites that are known for spreading falsehood will leave my page in a mess. and I have the right not to want that.

Giving links to truthful news stories (some of them from Muslim countries, so are these 'untruthful'?) is not spam nor "Anti Islamic propaganda".
being from Muslim countries is not the problem here. coming from a filthy website discredits them. I consider spreading anti-Islamic lies in my page as anti-Islamic propaganda.
you may disagree. and you have right to disagree. but you don't have right to spread your lies in my page. your page can do the job.

I am not hiding anything. truth stands out clear from falsehood. people can read what I say, they are not obliged to believe. they can search further and if they want to check those filthy websites, they can do it, and then they can decide who is truthful and who is the liar. but in no way I will allow propaganda of those filthy websites in my own page. if you want to advertise for them, again, your page will do the job.

I am not gonna hide your comment here. my religion tells me that when an ignorant person doesn't want to listen, I just say PEACE to them. and to you I say 'Peace'.

Sura.3:28; Sura.66.2

Our Father Yahweh, commands us NOT to lie, ever. Nor to hold to a lie, or cover the truth.

I would like to believe we could discuss things, but not if you are going to hide my comments. It would be a waste of time.

Jesus tell me the same thing in Matthew.10:13-15. when it comes to ignorance'

it's really sad to see people saying their God commanded them not to lie but they do spread lies (either out of ignorance or hate)

it became old-fashioned to start with a Qur'anic verse and end with an opposite Biblical verse to conclude that Islam is false and Christianity is true.
if I wanted to attack the Bible in the same way you try to attack Islam, I am pretty sure that with my knowledge I can do it very well. but I am not a messenger of hate. I didn't come to attack people's beliefs. I only came to spread love and truth. and only truth will prevail, with God's will.
I really hope that, instead of trying to claim you know much about Islam, you humble yourself a little and try to learn more about Islam from Muslims themselves. you will be surprised how little is what you knew and how wrong is what you thought of us.

may the God guide you and bring some light in your heart.
Peace be to you.

It is really sad to hear people say their religion is a religion of peace and see them fly aircraft full of innocent people into buildings full of innocent people, while calling out God is Great (this is not ignorance, it is hate and evil thing to do). No Christian will claim to be perfect, that Christians do not sometimes do wrong. That some Christians do bad things. Christians know and admit they are not perfect and if a brother or sister Christian does the wrong thing, then their brothers and sisters, will condemn the action.

Second sentence: I am not intent on proving Islam wrong, but I will compare, you do it, so you cannot say I cannot. You do it in an implied way in your first sentence in this reply. I have not come to attack peoples belief's, I too want to spread love and truth, and believe God will ensure truth prevails. But, if we cannot discuss these things openly, truthfully, honestly, honorably, then what will anyone learn? It is totally unfair and not honorable,to hide my comment.

I do not claim to know everything about Islam, but I do have an understanding of it. I do not advise this in an attempt to make myself look important, just to advise I am not ignorant of Islam. As I said, I have Muslim friends, I CAN talk to them, I accept their criticisms if I find them worthy and truthful & they accept mine if they find mine the same. So, what is truth brother? Is truth only truth if spoken by a Muslim? Or only if spoken by a Christian? Or can both speak truth? If they can both speak truth, what good does it do if one or the other will not accept the truth of the matter? You spoke of those two men, the paedophiles, you brought up that they were Christian which WAS reported in the media, though you said it was not. Did I not say in my comment you hid that what they did was despicable, that one would do what they did to children and the other try to hide it. But you hid that truth of mine. I could give you to a link to a news report, of how in an Islamic School, a Muslim teacher, abused some of his students in the same way, this report is factual, and true, but you would probably hide the link, and my comment (I don't hold much hope for this one either because I mention this), saying the guy was not Muslim, or that it is a Christian lie, or it did not happen, ANYTHING but accept that it did and they did wrong, but this does not change it. If we love God, and God tells us to be truthful, then we should be, and accept that we all at times do wrong things, and that some of us do really bad things. If we love God, we will be TRUTHFUL.

I Pray for the light to shine into yours also.
Peace & love.

Alright, as a Muslim, my religion makes it an obligation on me to tell the truth.
you said:
It is really sad to hear people say their religion is a religion of peace and see them fly aircraft full of innocent people into buildings full of innocent people, while calling out God is Great
I see It really sad that some ignorant people blame a whole nation for the actions of a few extremists (I do believe it was an inside job by evil people).

Christians know and admit they are not perfect and if a brother or sister Christian does the wrong thing, then their brothers and sisters, will condemn the action.
Apparently, you didn't want to hear the many Muslim scholars who condemn terrorism again and again. probably you only want to hear what you like to hear. you only want to believe that a Muslim must be evil.

I have not come to attack peoples belief's, I too want to spread love and truth
I am afraid your ways are wrong. I felt extreme hate in your first comment. a hate that tries to be justified even through lies. if that's not what you intended, then I suggest you review your own methods. they give the wrong impression.

It is totally unfair and not honorable,to hide my comment.
I already told you. you were advertising for a website full of filth. I don't want to see its link in my page. I had a look at many of their articles. they are misleading and they lie a lot. a non-Muslim who doesn't have enough knowledge to tell a lie from truth (like you) will be easily mislead by reading articles of that website. but if you want to advertise for them, your page does the work. I already said that. don't take my popularity and the fact that many people come to my page in order to spread your anti-Islamic propaganda here.

I do not claim to know everything about Islam, but I do have an understanding of it.
Does this mean you read some Islamic literature? could you give me 3 Islamic websites made by Muslims you used to learn what Muslims teach about Islam?

So, what is truth brother? Is truth only truth if spoken by a Muslim? Or only if spoken by a Christian? Or can both speak truth?
Both can speak truth. but one can't say they know the truth if they only hear one side of the information. I want to make sure you heard both before you made your attacks.

saying the guy was not Muslim, or that it is a Christian lie
excellent. I'd like to ask you a question here. and please, be sure to answer: quote my exact words where I said "it's a Christian lie".
and please, don't ignore my question like some of your people do when they lie about me and I ask for evidence. I repeat: from the above journal, give me a quote where I said "it's a Christian lie"

ANYTHING but accept that it did and they did wrong
apparently you didn't read the part of the journal where I stated how it's wrong what that guy did and it's un-Islamic.

may the God guide you and bring some light in your heart.
Peace be to you.

We support you in the 9/11 problem. The Twin Towers were losing money and they needed an excuse to demolish them. The Pentagon was a cruise missile, as the wings of the Boeing 737 are AWOL. Think, when plane wing meets building (no matter what angle of impact, it would leave a gouge/streak on the ground and/or the building itself), there are a few options: 1) snap off, no wings seen, thus this option cannot be. 2) shredded on impact, expect at least 1 long scar on the wall of the Pentagon, plus a secondary crater/hole where the engine attached to the wing slams into the building (the engines are HEAVY things!). 3) Already gone due to dragging on ground and the plane rolling, we should se two huge plough streaks and/or wing fragments on the ground then, WHERE WERE THEY?

Thus we conclude the Pentagon was a cruise missile, and they took those innocent people on that flight to some secret facility, shot all fo them, incinerated them and their stuff, cast all the ashes into a concrete block, and dumped it in the Marianas Trench or something.

you like to make accusations, but when it comes to providing evidence, you totally ignore it. you know what, I dislike lies and dislike liars. all you are doing is using my page to advertise for anti-Islamic hate. which, I am afraid I don't allow. with great regret, I tell you that your comment here is gonna be hidden. you are not showing any friendliness and peace in your tone. and until you answer my questions and provide evidence of your accusations, I appreciate you don't comment in my page again. leave in peace and return only when you learn the love you claim your religion teaches.

If I promise you nothing, it is this; I will ALWAYS stand by and support my Muslim friends, brothers and sisters. After the immense kindness they have shown me, it would be ungrateful and downright rude to abandon them in their hour of need. I pray every day for my Muslim family that they are afforded all the same rights, freedoms, priveledges and security as I am. I pray for understanding and knowledge, because once the world sees Islam and Muslims for what they really are, I feel we will all benefit from it and live in a much nicer, happier world!

Peace be upon you and all those you cherish, then, now and forever,

Sadly, there are some people (may the God guide them) who can't feel happy unless they prove their existence. and the goal justifies the means for them (even if the means are vilifying the other). these people spread hate more than they spread love. talking to them in their language will be pointless. so ignoring them is the best choice. and I do believe, this is what the God wants from us.

the prophet Mohammed -peace be upon him- once said: "he who believes in Allah and the last day (day of judgment), let him say good or keep quiet"
I don't mind people expressing different opinions or disagreement as long as it is expressed politely. and I respect every polite person, even if I disagree with them. may the God guide them and remove hate from their hearts and replace it with tolerance.
Peace be to you.

I have a deep hatred for terrorism, too. It is useless, it hurts EVERYONE and worst of all, solves nothing.

I used to be very afraid of Muslims because I mistakenly thought they followed a terroristic view and agenda, like the fundamental western media feeds me and wants me to believe. It wasn't until I met some real Muslims, starting with my adores brother *Nayzak that I quickly learned the vast majority of Muslims DO NOT support terror and nothing in the Holy Qu'ran says anything of the terrorist sort. I am very ashamed of my past thoughts, but so grateful that so many true Muslims came to me and were willing to teach me what the religion is REALLY about.

And now, alongside the teachings of Jesus, peace be upon him, I read and obey the teachings of Mohammed, too, may peace be upon him! My Muslim family openly declares their love for Jesus, now let me as a Christian openly declare my love for the Prophet Mohammed.

I LOVE THE PROPHET MOHAMMED - PEACE BE UPON HIM! :)

May Peace be upon you and may each one of your days be showered with Allah's great blessings.

Ah, the good ol' Daily Mail, the sickening, festering rag that it is. Just so you know, Nayzak, as far as British tabloids go, it's practically the bottom of the barrel, good for nothing more than wrapping up chips and lining bird cages. It's a shrilly tabloid with a specific agenda to attack everything that isn't its ideal of a "typical" English person, which means it's racist, sexist, classist, xenophobic, bigoted, and of course, anti-Islam. This is its typical tactic when it comes to all things Muslim, which is further analyzed here: [link]
and here: [link]

While the Daily Mail is disgusting in its bigotry, I linked to those blog pieces to let you know that other people are fully aware of it and moreover are actively speaking out against its tactics. It's not much, and I know other media outlets do the same thing to a lesser degree, but people are aware and do not swallow this blindly. There is an unfair double-standard when it comes to religion, I know. All I can hope for is that this situation changes over time, which unfortunately doesn't mean that the Mail will get better, but that it will simply switch targets to another vulnerable group in society. :(

I don't think its the Western Media, more that its the American Media. I live in Canada, and right now they just released a story about celebrating the Brave Muslims who helped many Jewish escape from the Holocaust.

I understand your frustration and anger, as I have the same frustration and anger in regards to how Westerners are portrayed as Muslim hating, Islamaphobes!
I'm really tired of being looked down on because I am a westerner. Its very double standard to accuse westerners of hating Islam, of trying to destroy Muslim culture, and discrimination of Muslims, when many Muslims are guilty of the exact same thing. I've been to many Islamic websites that promoted ignorance and hatred against Westerners and our culture, calling us infidels and saying that we would be punished for being different. That's an extremely arrogant attitude, which is a sin.
Its bad karma to ask other cultures to be understanding, welcoming, educated and well mannered, when many of your community, including religious centers, refuse to.
I respect your culture and consider you my friend. But I too am angered over how my culture is portrayed.

I apologize for ranting, and hope that you are not offended by my opinion. I just want to finally voice what I feel as well.

It is very wise you acknowledge this, my friend. It took me a while to admit that my media and whole culture is not friendly or welcoming to Muslims, I preferred to pretend such things didn't exist because I didn't want to think they could happen in my home country... but to ignore their plight means to ignore my BROTHERS and SISTERS, and I refuse to do that! I love you all too much to see you suffer because of someone else's ignorance. I will stand up, hold your hands and fight with you until you are given all the liberties, freedoms and happiness you deserve.

Your sister,
Mandi

it wouldn't really had happened though if it wasn't for the occupation, war, bigotry, colonization, apartheid, corruption from these governments if western countries and USA. There's no wonder then on why the hatred and those things that most muslims do to portay their hatred against these people who've done that to their countries, has been sparkled for century ago. Then probably if you read the history back then, you would feel alot more sympathized with the muslim majoriy country then the opposite.
Its important that we all look at the source of this hatred, and I recomend people to watch the documentary "The power of nightmares" and see what I'm trying to tell.

However, I'm not against that people, western and non western should come along and help each other instead of fighting and giving each other bad images, and I believe if we teach each other and help each other in the best matter which is beneficial and helpful for the human mankind, I believe we can archive great tolerance and understanding = )

Thank you. :) I think that both of our people and cultures get bad portrayal. That's why I hope for the younger generation, that they will see past their elders' grudges and know better.

Yes, it is quite sad, but remember. Those who are blind can never see the truth. As long as you know that truth exists then things like media we don't need them.
I am sure you know Jon Stewart. He exposes lies in a way that cannot be re-hidden again. Here are some links.

I hope you will find them helpful, or if you have seen them already then there is no need. Remember not to be bothered. The media and people who spread hate would want a reaction to this. Don't give them the satisfaction. Still, it is wise to let people know the false because there are those who can't figure it out for themselves.
