Description

Assalaamu alaikum [peace be with you],

Today I am angry. when I did this drawing, I was feeling bad after reading some wildlife articles about the persecution tigers are suffering. so I dedicate this drawing to all my beloved animals in danger. :D

:bulletred: Hunt for human Skin...
Imagine, just imagine we are living in another world. a world where Tigers have the upper hand. they are developed and have great technology while humans are uncivilized, primitive living in jungles. and these tigers, in spite of having beautiful and warm fur, they go after man's skin for their garment, bags, shoes, and other useless decorations.

How would you feel?

oppressed, persecuted, wronged maybe?

well, did you hear the saying, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"? most people heard it, but little are the ones who follow it.
man forgets...
he forgets his mission... his purpose... and his responsibility...

:bulletred: Islamic perspective on Animals
Islam teaches that Animals and other living things were created by Almighty Allah[God], the Lord of the Universe. They have their own independent existences and modes of living. God has said in the Holy Qur'an that every animal has its own nation and its own way of worship, or service, to God. Every animal praises God, the Exalted, in its own way.

It is God who gave every animal its ability. He enabled birds to fly, fish to swim and horses to gallop. Animals were here on Earth long before humans. The first man and woman on Earth were Adam and Hawwa'(Eve) -peace be upon them-. God gave them the responsibility to be caretakers on Earth.

Humans, who have been created with a greater intellect than animals, have a special responsibility to be fair, just and kind to all other living things. The Blessed Prophet Mohammed -peace be upon him- once said that every injustice will be paid back on the Day of Judgment. Therefore, in our use of animals for our own survival we must do justice.

God gave us the free use of the plants and animals of this Earth, his Earth. He said, "Eat and drink of the good things of the Earth." He also said, "It is Allah Who has provided you livestock of every kind. You can ride some kinds and others you eat..." But we must balance our use of animals and plants with our primary role as a caretaker on the Earth.

For example, we are not allowed to harm animals or plants for no reason. The Blessed Prophet forbade people from capturing baby birds, burning ant hills and whipping animals cruelly. All the people he stopped from doing these things were doing them "for fun." Well, as the Prophet pointed out, it WAS NOT FUN FOR THE ANIMALS.

If we use animals for our work, we must feed them and not over work them. If we eat animals we are supposed to slaughter the animals according to the proper way which prevents all cruelty to animals and if we have them as pets we are to feed them and care for them. The Prophet -peace be upon him- once told a story in which he noted that a woman who starved her pet cat to death will be tormented on Judgment Day for her cruelty.

the prophet Mohammed -peace be upon him- said: "If someone kills a sparrow for sport, the sparrow will cry out on the Day of Judgment, "O Lord! That person killed me in vain! He did not kill me for any useful purpose."

How many animals are killed in vain today?...

:bulletred: We are going backward!...
we are told that we are developed in many fields of science. we can do things that were not even in the imagination of people 50 years ago. but from a careful observation, yet we are going backward. we are not improving our world. we are destroying it.

people could develop beautiful fake animal fur. not as beautiful and as perfect as God's creation, but very acceptable. if you want Tiger fur jacket, buy a fake tiger fur one, it's cheaper, beautiful and you will be saving the life of a lovely tiger. know that when people don't buy, hunters won't hunt. you can make the change, and your reward will be on God almighty. and if you don't believe in God, then at least, you would be doing a favor to tigers and all other endangered animals. isn't it enough reason to be nice to our Earth?

we have a responsibility to all living creatures around us and even though many people may assert that animals have no rights, Islam says otherwise.

God said in the holy Qur'an:
وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ وَحَمَلْنَاهُمْ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ وَرَزَقْنَاهُم مِّنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقْنَا تَفْضِيلًا
"And indeed We have honoured the Children of Adam, provided them with transport on land and sea; given them for sustenance things good and pure; and conferred on them special favours, above a great part of our creation."

translation of 17:70

and:
بَلِ الْإِنسَانُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ بَصِيرَةٌ
Nay, man will be evidence against himself,
وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُ
Even though he were to put up his excuses. "

translation of 75:14-15

so always remember that you are responsible. and someday, your deeds will come either with you, or against you.

I hope that was beneficial.
