Assalaamu alaikum [Peace be to you],

The most popular drawing in my gallery is the "Peaceful Loving Sisters" (Flash artworks are not included). I received great feedback about it and many people liked it. so I decided to draw more about interfaith and Islam with other religions.

today I brought to you, my dear friends, an article that explains how Muslims should establish an interfaith Dialog. I hope it's beneficial for both Muslims and non-Muslims.

Allah [God] said in the holy Qur'an:
"O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things)."

[the holy Qur'an - Translation of 49:13]

Allah almighty has made people different. That was His choice. It wasn't a mistake, but part of His plan.
Muslims are not called to judge anyone. Nor are they given the authority to judge anyone to go to heaven or hell. That is for Allah alone. If He tells us, then, that He made us into nations and tribes as part of His plan for mankind, and that His reason for doing this was so we might get to know each other, it seems pretty clear that we should get on quite well with those who are different to us.

Many non-Muslims are under the impression that Muslims are close-minded and unwilling to engage in discussion with people of other faiths. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Qur'an offers very clear guidelines and encouragement for Muslims to engage in interfaith dialogue.

:bulletblue:1. Speak Gently
At all times, Muslims must show the best of manners and wisdom when speaking of faith to others. One must listen carefully, and share opinions with careful thought and patience.
Allah [God] said in the holy Qur'an:
"Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance.

[the holy Qur'an - Translation of 16:125]

and:
"And argue not with the people of the book (Jews and Christians) except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them, and say, "We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you; our God and your God is one; and to Him we have submitted (as Muslims)."

[the holy Qur'an - Translation of 29:46]

:bulletblue:2. Recognize that God is the One to Guide
Do not feel discouraged if people seem unconvinced by your beliefs, and are unwilling to share your faith. The Qur'an describes that God Alone is the One to guide people's hearts.
Allah said in the holy Qur'an:
"Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things."

[the holy Qur'an - Translation of 2:256]

:bulletblue:3. Part Kindly From Those Who Ridicule Faith
If you face someone who persistently ridicules or mocks your faith, and is obviously unwilling to listen to your point of view, quietly withdraw from the situation. Do not become angry or engage in arguments.

Muslims are also required to respect all those who are faithful and God conscious people, namely those who received messages. Christians and Jews are called People of the Book. Muslims are asked to call upon the People of the Book for common terms, namely, to worship One God, and to work together for the solutions of the many problems in the society.

I hope that was beneficial.

I can't help but smile while looking at this picture. It's a very simple and homely setting but it conveys a very deep meaning. The women are all happy and content while working together to create something. They are clearly friends, regardless of their spiritual differences. They demonstrate the common ground that Jews, Muslims, and Christians share in their religious roots, and serve as an example of the peace and understanding that followers of all three faiths should strive for. There are ignorant people out there who will scoff at this picture, mock its message, and return to their close-mindedness, but I would just like to have it known that I am a Christian man, and I have nothing but the highest respect for this artist. Peace be upon him.
