Daily Deviation

Given 2010-08-04
Because he is a muslim... by ~Nayzak Stop, Think, "Act". A deviation you should stop to see. Think about, Reflect on the matter at hand. What's the deviation trying to say. Finally, Act, but Don't go spamming hate speeches on any of the religions mentioned. I don't think this is meant as a deviation to provoke or 'promote' Islam, Just to let you reflect, see how Islamic people think, feel,... (of course this isn't true for ALL people, just like every religion you have fanatics and people that generally just believe and want to be left alone in their believes). Although I must say I don't agree with every slide used either. There are some slides that bother me personally too, but don't generalize on them, look at the bigger picture and what's it trying to say. "feel free to let me know your opinion and if you have some good suggestions..." But try to do this in an orderly fashion! IF you have a problem with this Deviation for any reason please contact ME! :devnikivandermosten: don't start dArama on the deviation or deviant! :peace: ( Featured by `NikiVandermosten )

Hi, you have few points there, but I have some questions and critique over some of the content as there are two sides of a coin.

1. Do your women have the CHOICE not to wear a hijab or not to stay home and sacrifice her life? Can she drive a car? Have a passport? In what country yes and in what no would be the answer? Just asking.

2. Another question, many Muslims think (not all of them) that Islam IS the ONLY solution, and refuse to look upon anything else. Well, I have an answer to that, it's not that we are blind or don't want to listen, is that, we just don't see it solving anything, nor feel anything towards it. Those who love Islam are already Muslims or will be out of their FREE WILL, but you can not expect, EVERYBODY to love it and fallow it in any manner just because YOU think it's the right thing. It might be the right thing for you but it is not necessarily so for everybody else.

3. Have you heard about a university in Saudi Arabia, where western women are not allowed to enter without a hijab?! That's what the secular people afraid of, they afraid that Muslims (and not only them, in different societies) will demand everybody to fallow their customs and religious traditions, which they don't want to fallow, that will deprive their freedom of choice.

4. Israeli people don't rape Palestine women - that's just a lie (I live here, I served in the IDF, I am a woman). We have rapists as any other country in the world, it's a problem within a community in general, not towarded to anyone in particular. The police and court deal with that.
Israeli-Palestinian conflict, is ideological conflict over territory, not Religion, though some try to represent it that way. Yes, these are two different religious groups, but that's all. I am not going to enter the details and view points of that conflict, as it's beside the major point of your work and it will be really long discussion.

5. Firing 40 rockets per day for 8 years on civilian area hardly can be called protecting yourself from a broken arm or an act of peace (from Gaza, to Israeli territories). Resulting - one of the cities (Sderot) looks like a huge bunker, to protect civilians from the rockets, even the buss stations and the playgrounds for kids.

6. Why did you pick Israel as an example? What about problems of Iraq, Pakistan, Afganistan and etc? There are much more people living, and they are Muslims (as far as I know), tens of millions and not only 8 (of total population). There are a lot of territory, and not only 596 km length and 112 km wide in the widest place including Palestine. In Iraq, Pakistan and etc, problems are very severe; a lot of mess, violence, poverty, there are hardly any people who live well. Why Israel is a center of the world? When there are so much many more suffering people from: civil wars and famine (Africa), drug industries and mafia (Latin America) and religious fanaticism (Asia and north Africa) - which is the topic of your current work.
To clarify few things: Religious fanaticism is: Executing homosexuals because it violates the religion. Torturing for teaching English or any foreign languages and science by the excuse that this hurts the religion. Punishing for "improper" clothing according to the religious code (mainly towards women). Killing people in the name of a deity or to get to heaven. Brainwash with hate towards a group of people because it is the right thing to do by the laws or leaders who base their agenda on a religion. Demand everyone to be like you, have same customs and beliefs, and when refused to make violent acts and many more. These I call religious fanaticism. It happens in many other societies, but it is very widespread among Muslims, as there are a lot of Muslims as a part of world population.

7. I agree with you that you should not believe all what the newspapers say, but why should you believe to EVERYTHING the Qur'an or any other books say? What about common sense, logic, thinking, investigating, learning, doubting, doing a research from academic sources, finding political inner interests of the author in text that try to make some people believe things there are not, finding the originals and roots, and reading with a doubt, thinking deeply on different applications through reality of life? What about those? Many Muslims don't accept any other truth than the one dictated by their: leader, the Qur'an, Mufti and in the mosque. Many of them are not terrorists, but hating people, deeply engaged with hate, because this is what they are taught to do all their life. Many of them are not capable of free thinking and doubting, many of them believe that all of their problems were created by people from the west only. It is true to some extent in some places, but they don't take responsibility for themselves and their lives. And instead of trying to build things, to correct the local situation, to construct, make their lives better they blame everything on everybody and do nothing by whine and accuse and do violent acts one towards another and other people.

8. Why is it allowed to joke about Jesus and Christianity, Abraham, Joshua the prophet and Judaism, Buddha and all the other religions and their symbols but anything regarding Muhammad is unacceptable tabu and translated to hate towards Muslims straight away? Why is that ok to create grotesque caricatures about Jews, Christians and etc, but not ok to do the same about Muslims? Where else did you see a collective mass protests all over the world over freedom of speech and criticism in that form - to prevent it from being?

9. Why almost every critique over Muslim religion and it's symbols automatically translated to a direct insult by the Muslims, unlike by other religiouns?

10. And let me ask you a final question, how many terror attacks were made by non Muslims in the last, lets say 30 years? And how many were made by Muslims in the world? And I mean suicide bombers, hostages in schools and theaters, bombs in markets, restaurants, metro stations, hotels, buses, banks, grocery stores, airports, cars loaded with explosives and etc. I think the answer is clear. As sad as it is.

So that explains the common tendency, it is unjust toward those who are normal people, who lead normal life and all they want is just to live as they wish within themselves. But there are a lot of other people, who don't lead such lives who spoil it for everybody else.

I also would like to add. We live in a really fucked up world. We have a lot of peoples, nationalities and religions and we have enormous amount of problems all around the place. It is essential, for us, to learn to get along, to accept each other if we don't want to make things worse than they are, but to make them better instead.
It is true that Muslims are discriminated in some places and it is wrong. But they are not the only group of people that is being treated badly in many different places. There are a lot of others now and through the history of humanity. Some are discriminated by their colour of skin or hair, some by their fat or slim statures, some by their sexual preferences, some by their disabilities, some by their place of birth, some by their nationality or origins and off course religions. There is a lot of prejudice, myths and stereotypes, that are duplicated and reproduced through time: in the electronic and written media, through stories person to person and even in studies in "history" books, articles and publications (who select the "correct" history facts to their liking). It is usually very difficult to find the truth. But it is not really matters. The truth is - fuck stereotypes, fuck differences. We are all people, and we need to accept each other, to take responsibility and work together to make our lives better, leaving the guilt and shame in the past.
Let it be peace.

1. Women has to wear Hijab yes. They can drive, they can have passports, they have the same rights as men.
2. Yes, Muslims believe in their own religions, and no we don't shut our eyes to everything else. I myself, a strong muslim, will sometimes read the bible. He is not saying all people have to love and follow islam. I repeat this, he is not saying that.
3. Last I checked, and my father checked (my father who has lived in saudi arabia), there is no such university that forces Hijabs.
4. He was talking about American soldiers, calm down and read with an open mind so you won't make these silly mistakes.
5. Alright, at first I thought you were honestly asking serious questions, but now I realize you are not. You are just trying to insult Islam now with what you're typing. Although these questions are childish and ludicrous I will continue to answer them. No, the rebels can't fire mortars very often, and they usually explode in their own faces, bad weapon quality. And yes they are defending themselves. If America was invaded, and was being blamed for what one group did, would you fight back? Or would you let that one group represent your entire country for you and lie down like a dog and perish?
6. Calm down, he never said anything about Israel.
7. Now I am certain you are trying to spread hate here. Muslims are not taught to hate, and duh (forgive the slang) we're going to follow our own religion. But as I said before we are open minded.
8. Islam does not allow the mockery of ANY religion. We respect all other religions as if they were our own.
9. Think of back to the slave trade. Blacks were the ones generally being picked on, pfft not generally, they were the ONLY ones being picked on X3. And WW2, when the Japanese were jailed all across America. In America, every era and generation likes to have someone to hate and pick on, now it's simply the Muslims turn to be attacked... and for many other stronger reasons than this one that will take too long to explain.
10. As sad as it is? No. You are sad. For starters, those aren't muslims. Second, plenty of crimes are commited by non-muslims. CNN just never mentions religion unless it's an islamic guy that messes up. And if you check, over the past 30 years, not many islamic terror crimes, look at your murders across america, burgluries, and other crimes. Those don't count for anything in your book? And no, suicide bombings do not happen as often as you'd like to think.
In the beginning of your comment, you made your comment look innocent and harmless. I read your answers, and answered them to the best of my ability. However, as I read, I noticed your, "points" became more hurtful as they went on... You lied. These are not just points your making, these are attacks on Islam you make... You asked if our women can drive? or have passports? What kind of questions are that? Ridiculous ones. Seeing as how these weren't honest to god harmless questions, you'll probobly be disregarding most of what I type, seeing as how this was just an attempt to hurt islam. Well anyway, I replied to this because I had a lot of time to kill just now. Well anyway, on a personal note, and on behalf of 99% of DA members, don't spread hate comments =_= and don't say "i'm just being honest, i'm not hateing :)" you are. DA is a peaceful art community, your kind of comments are looked down on by all DA members.
Anyway, I got some stuff to do now. Goodbye.

Hello, just wanted to tell you that I admire this work as it is very true and informative. I am not Muslim and stumbled upon this page while looking for anime/manga groups. I am glad I found this page, however, because it is very truthful and gives me a different outlook than the one-sided outlook that is continuously shoved in my face. I think that you are commendable for taking the time to do something like this. Using cute characters can help draw in younger audiences and get your message out to children. How do I share this slideshow?
