Arabs used to be proud of swords. they used to give them names.
the prophet Mohammed -peace be upon him- had many swords.
the split sword you are talking about was Dhul-Fiqar, the Sword of Ali ibn-Abi-Taalib, the cousin of the prophet Mohammed -peace be upon him-.
I mean seriously.... how pitiful can they be for liking Samurai with sword etc. expect Arabi with sword.
Anyway, I'm wondering then if they would hate Sinbad or the other characters from MAGI since I totally doubt they would hate them. XD
Don't worry, I know plenty of people that like them seeing with swords because they find it really awesome.
That's a pretty, pretty picture and well drawn, I think.
But, I would like to ask you a question: Did ancient arab men often wear niquabs (that veil that covers not only hair and neck, but mouth and nose)?
I think (but I am not sure), that it was worn because of climatic reasons (the hot climate, sand(storms) etc.), but did men them wear for religious reasons too, or was/is that only allowed for woman?
Oh, btw: All yout historical pictures are stunning. I'd like to see more of them, if you don't mind
